At Eagle Heights Church we are honored to follow the teachings throughout scripture and practice the giving of our tithes (a tenth of our income) and offerings (a gift above the tithe) to God. At EHC, we believe and teach that the tithe is a way to show that we trust God with our lives and with our security.
“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
How do we give cheerfully? We consider that God gave His one and only Son, who humbled Himself to walk the earth with His people and give his life on the cross as a ransom for many. Therefore, we cheerfully honor and obey God by giving the tithe and offering to our Lord.
